Nati, Papi and I played with Nati's new toys. She loves them all. She had such a great time. It is so much fun just watching her play!

December 24th and 25th

On the 24th we went to Tia Lucia's and believe it or not I don't have any pics. On the 25th we spent the day in Bardstown. First we went to see Jason's Dad and Patty. We had lunch with them and opened presents. Natalie got some pretty cute stuff. Pappaw refinished a doll crib and high chair for her. I put it away for now so she doesn't destroy but it won't be long until she can play with it. She also got a xylophone. Jason is already trying to teach her songs!

After that, we went to see Jason's Mom, Erika, Travis and Vernie. We all had dinner together and opened some more presents. Nati got some things for her room, cute clothes and some books. Nati was in a great mood all day!! She had such a good time every where we went.

After that, we stopped by my Mom's house for a minute. It was about 7:30 pm by this time and we were all pretty tired. We all sampled Tita's minestrone soup, including Nati, and then we went home to bed.

It was a great Christmas. It seemed to last forever since we started celebrating with my family a week and a half ago when David, Karina and Pauli where in town. Now, we just need to get through New Year's!!

Merry Christmas!!

Nati is 10 months old!!

I can't believe it!! (I think I say that every time I write one of these "How old is Nati" entries on the blog).

OK, so the Nati is doing a lot of new stuff. First of all she has four teeth now. She only had one at 9 months. Needless to say, this has been a hard month for everyone!!

Here are a few things about her that are new:

• She can stand on her own really well and has even taken a small step, only one though, no walking yet.
• She can walk when she holds on to her little car and when she holds on to one of my hands.
• She LOVES to scream.
• She LOVES to eat. Some of her favorites are: Black bean quesadilla, lentils and rice, grilled ham and cheese sandwiches and raviolis with tomato sauce. She also loves all kinds of breads and most fruits.
  
• She says Mama or Mam when she gets sad or sees me leaving.
• She says Dada and Papa when she is playing.
• Now, when she gets frustrated she makes fists with her hands, clenches her jaw and grunts. It's pretty funny.
• She dances when she hears music.
  
• She loves to play with boxes of tissues (she likes to pull all the tissues out!).
• She goes HO HO HO like Santa when Jason does it first. It's so cute!!
  

Only two more months until she has her first birthday! I can't believe it!

Nati's Baptism

While David, Karina and Pauli were here we decided to have the Nati baptized. David and Karina were Nati's godparents. St. Agnes let us have a private ceremony since they were only going to be here for a week. Everything went great. All of our famiy members were there. The Nati looked so cute in her little white dress. She did great during the ceremony. She tried to wiggle out of my hands a couple of times since now that she has learned how to stand on her own thats all she wants to do. She fussed a little when I wouldn't let her go but she did not cry. She also got a little mad when they poured the Holy Water on her head but she got over it pretty quickly. After the ceremony everyone came over to our house for some food and cake. Nati was so tired by the time we got home that she fell asleep and almost missed the whole party!! Luckily, she woke up just in time to eat some cake!!

Early Christmas

Since David, Karina and Pauli were in town we had Christmas at Tita's a little early. Nati and Pauli got some great gifts and even the adults got to open a few!!
Everyone had a great time. We are just sorry it had to end so soon.

They were all in town the week before Christmas. They stayed here a week and then they were going to Ecuador for a week also. Natalie loved seeing Pauli. She would just stare at her. I hope she wasn't studying what to do next!!

Jason and I took of thursday and Friday to spend some time with them. We had a great time even though it all went by so quickly. We went to the Science Museum one day. It was packed with middle school kids. It was pretty crazy. We all liked the Fun Zone the best but you can only stay there for 45 min and you can only go in there once.

After the museum Jason and I took Natalie to her class Christmas Party. She ate too many sweets and had a great time.

Getting Ready for Christmas!!

We put up our Christmas tree the other night and took out our decorations (all 3 of them!!). Nati loves the tree!! When she first saw it she looked at it and would then look at Jason and she went back and forth between the two. The whole time she had this big smile on her face. She must wonder why we don't keep the tree out year round since it is so pretty to look at!!

The Nati loves standing on her own. Any chance she gets she stands up and lets go and just waits to fall down. You can see when she is thinking about letting go. She gets this little smirk. It is juts soooo cute!!

She has gotten very very fast at crawling. She barely gives me enough time to take pictures!!
