Something New!

Nati has realized how comfortable it is to sit on a chair, her own little Baby Einstein chair. She also loves to roll off of it, jump on it and eat snacks on it.

A Bunch of Sickies!!

This all started on Saturday, the day Stella, Zac and Bethany came over. The Nati had a low fever. We thought it might be her ear but we didn't see any drainage (she has tubes!) so we figured she did not have an ear infection. We then decided it must be because she was getting a new tooth. On Sunday her fever got pretty high. We had to call the pediatrician because we didn't know what to do to get the fever down. She finally got better and we knew that we would be going to see Dr. Hayman on Monday.

So Monday we go to the pediatrician and poor Natalie had one of her ear tubes plugged. So she had a full blown ear infection. On top of that she had bronchitis. She stayed home Monday and Tuesday and by Wednesday she was much better. I on the other hand, woke up with a very red eye on Tuesday. Ignored it for the day but on Wednesday when my other eye was the same way I figured I must have pink eye so I had to go to the doctor to get drops (I have no idea how I got it before Nati!).

On Friday, Nati went back to the doctor with pink eye (this is never ending!!). We are both doing fine now. Nati's ears are clear, her bronchitis has cleared up and our eyes are back to white!!

Poor Nati!!

She is much better now!!

Nati's New Game

The Nati has gotten pretty fast when she is pushing her little buggy. She has decided that the best way to use this new trick is to chase Frankie. She laughs and laughs and laughs. Meanwhile Frankie just barks and tries to get away from her. I know that deep down Frankie is loving the new source of attention!!

Nati and Stella

Zac, Bethany and Stella came over to our house so Stella and Nati could play and finally exchange Christmas presents. We tried to get together closer to Christmas but Stella was sick and then Nati was sick. Finally after several weeks they were well enough to get together. I say well enough, because the Nati actually had a low grade fever that day. More to come later.

Anyways, Stella and Nati had a great time. We all ate Q'doba and played with Nati's toys. Bethany gave Natalie a fleece blanket that she made. Jason loves it! (Nati does too!!). She also gave Nati two books which are actually the first two books that Natalie has in English (all her other books are in Spanish).

Nicole and Nati

Nati and I had the day off for Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Unfortunately Jason had to go to work. He was starting his new position at Humana (Congrats Papi!). The Nati and I stayed pretty busy. We played all morning and then went to the mall where we met Nicole, Valeria and Valeria's Mom. Nicole is so cute! She was pretty funny. She would look at me and smile for the camera for a second and then she would keep starring at the Nati. I think she is pretty used to having to smile for when her Mami takes pics!!!It was pretty hard to get them to both smile and look at the camera.

1980 to 2006

I am wearing one of my Mom's old shirts in this picture. The picture I am holding was taken in 1980. She is holding me in the picture when I was about three months old. I was hoping to take this picture when the Nati was three months but around that time we were busy going to Ecuador for Tio David's wedding and then after we got back we bought a new house and moved. So anyways, I forgot to do it. So here it is.

Thanks Melissa!

Our friends John and Melissa live in Minot, ND. They were here during Christmas and gave Natalie a really cute quilt that Melissa made for her. It matches her room perfectly. I took these pictures on Saturday morning while Nati and I were watching cartoons and playing.

The Nati is Walking!!

The day I took this picture the Nati walked for the first time. She did it at day care so Jason and I didn't get to see it. The great thing is that the following day she took four steps and I got to see it. She walked for Jason that night also. Today she took about six steps!! She is getting better and better every day. She is so funny when she walks. She gets this huge smile on her face!! One of these days she is going to be walking all over the place!

I LOVE HAM!!!

Nati's New Toys (and Look!!)

HAHA!! look at her socks. She is so cute!! The Nati has figured out how to get every pot and pan out of our cabinet and then make as much noise as possible. She loves it.

New Year's Eve

We had a low key New Year's Eve this year. Zac, Bethany and Stella and were coming over for dinner and some play time for Natalie and Stella. Unfortunately they had to take Stella to the emergency room. She ended up having pneumonia and a double ear infection. She has been on antibiotics and is doing much better.

Since we had already bought a bunch of food Tita, Tia Cynthia and her boyfriend Kevin came over to eat. After dinner we set up Kevin's Wii. It was so much fun!! I dominated in Wii bowling!! Scott and Jennifer also stopped by and played.

It turned out being a pretty crazy weekend. The next day Jason got a stomach virus and ended up in bed all day long. The following day I got it and was sick all day. Luckily Nati did not get it.o
