Natalie is 4! (WOW!)

I cannot believe that my little baby is 4 years old. Jeez!! She is such a little girl now! Nothing about her is babyish any more, except the cute dimples she still has in her hands and elbows. Of course she went to the pediatrician where she got 4 shots. Yikes that was awful. She hated it, I hated it, and the nurse hated it. She was brave though. She is 40 inches tall (50%) and 37 lbs 2 oz (50-75%).

So now that she is a big girl here are a few things she does:
1. She is most definitely left handed. She unfortunately prefers writing from right to left. It makes sense! I feel bad telling her that unfortunately it doesn't work that way. Once we remind her the direction to write in, she can write her name and all her letters.
2. She talks like a big girl using words like 'though', 'also'. It's like hearing myself sometimes!
3. She is a WONDERFUL big sister. She would give Sam anything she has to give. She is so giving when it comes to Sam.

I just had to write this in so bear with me. We took Sam to get his first hair cut and of course he was crying so we gave him a sucker which he loved. Once we left Natalie got a sucker too since she was so patient. In the car Sam had already finished his sucker but Natalie had just started eating hers so Sam started freaking out. Out of nowhere, Natalie hands him her sucker and says "Here Sam, you can have mine". It was awesome. Jason and I could not believe it especially since suckers are one of Natalie's favorite treats. That afternoon, Jason and I took her to Target and she got the Princess and the Frog movie. :)

4. She fights taking naps. Ugh! Sometimes by 6 pm she is so tired she can hardly stand it!
5. She LOVES dresses. She would wear dresses every single day if she could. I do my best to send her to school in shorts on days that she has tumble bus though. She even sleeps in a big princess night gown.
6. She is learning to use the computer. In a year she will probably be better than I am :).
7. She sneaks into our bed early in the morning. Usually around 5am. I love that she does this but of course won't tell her that. We snuggle for the last hour we have to sleep before waking up to go to school.
8. This year we figured out she is lactose intolerant. She loves cheese too. So, no more, only every once in a while she gets to eat cheese pizza or macaroni and cheese. She has to drink lactose free milk even. Poor baby!
9. She is still a big drama queen. Hard to believe for a 4 year old, right? :) She can cry on demand for the smallest little things. She has the biggest tears I've ever seen!
10. Her best friend is MacKenzie and Pauli. Some of our friends have a little girl named MacKenzie but she hasn't seen her since she was about 1 1/2. So I am assuming MacKenzie is her imaginary friend. MacKenzie teaches her lots of things and always knows something new. HAHA! Pauli of course is her cousin who she talks about non stop although we don't get to see them often. It actually makes me feel bad how much she misses her.
11. She is always coming up with the craziest stories. Faries and unicorns are always around.

Trying to get a cute picture of the two of them on Natalie's birthday. Of course it was pretty impossible.
Natalie even has a little tear in this one.
Mami and Nati. Wow, that hair.
Natalie's Barbie cake. She helped decorate it and of course chose the colors.

Opening presents at Tita's house. She let Sam and Izzy help.

More Snow

It seems like this year we had a lot of snow on the ground for quite a while. Natalie had plenty of chances to play and she was finally able to build a snow man with Papi. We didn't take her sledding to a real hill but we did it around the neighborhood. I think she will be ready next winter!

Natalie and Papi. They look cold!Natalie's first real snow man. A little irregular but still a snow man.
Natalie's first trip down a hill. This was at one of our neighbor's driveways. It was the perfect size for her. Steep enough to go down on her own but not too fast. She actually fell into the side of the driveway to the left. It was pretty funny.
Getting ready to go down. Jennifer helping her get started.
