THE ZOO!!

Tia Cynthia's Boyfried Kevin (who works at the Zoo) was nice enough to get the Nata's picture taken on the green screen. THE HIPPO IS EATING THE BABY!!!!

We had a great time walking around with Tia Cynthia and Kevin. Poor Kevin had been there since 9 am and we got there at 4pm!! I think it might have been a little too late and a little too hot for the Nata because she was getting really sleepy and she was more interested in Kevin's water bottle!! Next time we'll have to go in the morning so the Nata can actually look at the animals. We were a little sorry we missed the monkeys (since they are on Nata's favorite toy) but we were all so hot and tired that we couldn't possibly have gone to find them. Next time we will definately go show the real monkeys to the Nata.

Playing at Daycare!

How fun it is too play with all the babies!!

Eating Solids

The Nata has reaches a milestone!! She has started eating solids. We started with rice cereal. It took a few tries but she decided that she absolutely loves eating the cereal, especially with the soft brightly colored spoon! Next we gave her avocado. I didn't think she would like it but (I shouldn't be surprised) she LOVED it also. She can't get enough of it. When I am feeding her she grabs my hand with her little hands and pulls on it to get to the spoon. I don't think we are going to have any trouble feeding this baby!!!

Food or foot? Food or foot? Luckily she chose the food!

Going to the Pool

The Nata went to the pool for the first time. She wasn't really sure what to think of it. She didn't like the cold water on her tummy but she could not stop staring at the water!! Once she got used to the cold water she was ok but I don't think she would have gotten in Stella's little floater. I didn't try because I didn't want to upset her. It WAS her first time in this kind of weird environment!! Maybe next time she will float in the pool solo!!

If the Nata is not happy, no one is!!

The Nata has been a little under the weather recently. We are not sure what was wrong. Every once in a while she would just start screaming and crying! We took her do the doctor and everything was fine and they said that it as probably a little too early for teething. Well, needles to say these past few days have been pretty challenging. Nothing made her happy. Jason took this picture one night that she would not stop crying. I tried everything. She finally cried herself (and me!!) to sleep!!

Not to worry, the Nata is back to her happy self!!

The Nata has Earrings!!!

We went to get Nata's ears pierced the other night. Jason's stomach was in knots!! He chose the earrings and then left us girls to go get the piercings done. It wasn't too bad. The Nata did cry but about 2 minutes later she was over it. The earrings look sooooo cute!!!!

When we were in Ecuador everyone would ask if she was a boy or girl, because girls get their ears pierced before they leave the hospital when they are born. So now, the Nata is a girl in every country in the world!!! :)

New House for New Baby

Ok...So about a minute after we got home for the first time with the Nata we decided that a 100 year old house in old Louisville wasn't the best place for her. So, we sold our house and found a new one. We moved into our new house last Tuesday. The house is in the East end and about 2 minutes from Tita and Tia Cynthia (at least while she isn't at Murray) and Tia Lucia and Tio Pat. How great!!!
Moving was a challenge. We ended up hiring movers because we closed at 9 am on Tuesday and had to have the house empty and clean by 5 pm that evening for the buyers final walk through. To say the least, it was exhausting. The Nata was at day care and Mammaw Lucy, Aunt Erika Uncle Travis and Tia Cynthia were there to help. We wouldn't have even been close to getting everything done without their help. THANKS!!!
We still have lots of projects to finish, lots of painting and yard work. As a matter of fact, we still have unpacking to finish!! But, we love our new house. It's going to be a great house and neighborhood for the Nata.
