The Nata and Papi sure have done a lot while I have been in San Diego. She is just everywhere!! I am sure my idea of everywhere will change as soon as she starts crawling. Only one more night and I will get to see all this in person!!

6 Months Old!!
We took the Nata to her 6 month well check today. I can't believe how big she is!! Everything was good. She is finally over her ear infections!! She was a show off at the doctor's office. She sat up by herself, talked a bunch, said dadadadada, stood up with papi's help and of course smiled.
So here is what we found out today, she weighs 17 lbs 8oz, is 26 inches long and her head circumference is 16 3/4 inches. She is in the 50-75% for height, 75% for weight, and 50-75% for head circumference.
We decided with the help of the doctor that we are going to start giving her a bottle of formula during the day while at day care. We are doing this because she has become too distracted when I feed her and she is not getting enough liquids. The poor girl has been very constipated and has been given prunes for 3 weeks in a row! Yuck! We have tried giving her water, juice, juice and water, and she spitts out all of them!!
The Nata has learned a lot these past two months since her last check up. She is sitting up, scooting on the floor, she rolls to her tummy to sleep, she is eating veggies and fruits, she is saying dada, baba, and she has even said WOW! By the way, this baby will not eat fruit!! I have to mix it in with the veggies or she won't eat them!
She has the funniest expressions. I keep taking tons of pictures but they just don't do her any justice. She is always smiling, laughing and wanting to play on the floor. She LOVES red toys. Anywhere she goes, she finds a red toy. Her favorite toys at day care are a red Clifford and a little duck bath toy that she loves sticking it's head into her mouth!

Playing with her new toy!
We took out a new toy for the Nata the other day. Abuelito (Grandaddy) gave it to her when we were down in Ecuador about three months ago. She loves the lights and music. Jason and I are about to take the batteries out!!! Just kidding!!
She plays with it the most in the morning on our bed while we are getting ready for work. Now that she can sit up without support she LOVES to play all day long!!!
Getting ready for a hard work out!!

Playing at Scott and Jennifer's
The three of us went to Scott and Jennifer's the other day for brunch. They were finally able to see her during the day while she was happy and ready to play. We had a great time and Scott made some great food.
Unfortunately this was the last time the Nata was in a good mood for a few days. She got a fever later that day and the following day. We took her to the Dr. and they said her ear infection had gotten worse. She had some pretty miserable days until the antibiotic kicked in. It was terrible seeing her that sick! Luckily she is feeling much better now.

Babies, Babies, Lots of Babies!!
Staying Home Sick
The Nata and Papi got to play hooky from school and work the other day. The Nata couldn't go to day care because she had a fever the day before. We took her to the pediatrician and she had a double ear infection :( but the doctor said it wasn't bad enough to cause a high fever. So, the Nata had to be fever free for 24 hours before going to day care since we weren't sure what caused the fever.
Once her fever came down. She was feeling much, much better.
Can't you tell how bad she was feeling!! They had a great day together!
